Question:

May one use a kettle that has a filter on the spout on Shabbat?

Answer:

It is permitted to use a tea kettle that has a filter on the spout, since even if some small tea leaves come out into oneโ€™s drink, it is normal for one to still drink that tea in that manner and spit out any leaves that enter his mouth. However, before pouring the kettle, one should wait for the leaves to settle at the bottom of the kettle. [1]
