โAnyone who studies Halachot every day is guaranteed that he is destined for the world-to-comeโ (Megilla 28b, Niddah 73a)
Question:
May one do Borer for someone else on Shabbat?
Answer:
It is permitted to perform the permitted method of Borer on behalf of someone else, such as peeling a fruit for someone. [1]
Even if the person who is performing the Borer has eaten meat, it is permitted for him to separate something that is dairy for someone else, even though the person separating cannot partake from it. [2]
One who has a salad, for instance, and does not want the onions, may not separate the onions from the salad. Rather, one must eat the salad and leave behind the onions. However, if someone else at the table wants the onions and will eat them during the meal, one may take out the onions and give it to that person even though one personally does not want the onions.[3]
